Gentle care and considered storage, guided by each garment’s own care label.

REAL MAN · Care and materials

Not every shirt is cotton, every jumper wool or every casual trouser stretchy. Start with the actual fibre content and care label.

Read each instruction separately

Washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional care have separate instructions. A washable garment is not necessarily tumble-dryer safe. The number in the wash tub is a maximum temperature; bars underneath call for gentler handling. A crossed-out treatment is not permitted.

Sort and dry with care

Separate light and dark colours and consider the fabric’s sensitivity. Empty pockets and follow the garment and cleaner instructions for marks. Do not increase temperature beyond the label to tackle a stain. If a knit calls for flat drying, do not hang its wet weight from the shoulders.

Put clothes away fully dry

Store stretch-prone knitwear folded and choose hangers suited to garment weight and shape. Easy-iron does not mean completely crease-free in all conditions. Hand washing is not automatically safe when the label prohibits washing. If instructions are unclear, consult a professional cleaner.

The garment’s own label takes priority over general fibre-care advice.
